Ya'at'ééh Shaa means Hello Sun in Navajo. As I drove through the early morning darkness from our base camp in Butler Wash bound for Valley of the Gods, something tugged at me to press onward. An hour later I found myself at the Navajo Tribal Park in Monument Valley. With access roads closed, I walked into the desert using the pre-dawn silhouette of the famous mittens as a guide.
