Canadian Cliff Launcher. Seems our local geese behave like eagles once in awhile. I've noticed a number of them hanging out on rock ledges and cliffs above bodies of water -- not where you'd typically find geese. This honker was perched on a basalt ledge above Rockport Reservoir before taking flight. What appears to be clouds in the background is actually ice. March 8, 2014. Summit County, Utah.
