I love the form, shape and color of cottonwood trees. They have a delightful scent that begs for a deep breath and takes me back to my youth, and time spent hunting and fishing with my mother and father in Idaho. This stand along Beaver Creek was nearing peak color as I walked through with an eye to the sky. Yep, just one eye as I am blind in my left eye. But that's another story. Near Soapstone Basin, Uinta Mountains, Utah. October 6, 2013.
